Wrexham Dog Walking Services

Country Hounds Wrexham Dog Walking?

Country Hounds’ Dog Walking Services provide the very best of care, attention and fun for your dog.

This is a great option if your dog prefers to be in their own surroundings and doesn’t like to be around too many other dogs. We treat the walk as ‘the dog’s walk’ – it’s not ours, and we’re more than happy to stop for sniffing purposes! We know how important sniffs are to dogs when they’re out and about.

We’ll walk your dog within the vicinity of your home – we find that they’ll be keen to show us their favourite pathways, fields and woodlands, not the other way around.

We will collect your dog and walk them for the allocated time from your home and bring them back again. This negates the needs for them to be transported in a vehicle and allows the dogs in our care to enjoy the maximum amount of time outside enjoying the fresh air!

No more than 3 dogs will be walked together at any one time and generally not more than 2. We believe this is the responsible choice and allows us to give the dogs the attention they need and for us to stay in control at all times for your complete peace of mind.

Work, Rest & Play

We understand that it’s hard to leave your dog while you go about your day. Choosing our dog walking service will give you a warm feeling knowing that they will get a fantastic walk and be able to curl up in their favourite place in their home waiting for you to return.

No Cars or Vans

Our dog walking is offered within the vicinity of your home. We will collect your dog and walk them for the allocated time from your home and back again, often walking around fields, woodland and other areas close by.

Safe & Secure

The safety of the dogs is of paramount importance to us at Country Hounds. We will only ever let your dog off their lead if you give us written consent to do so and even then, we get to know your dog well beforehand and trust that they will react to our commands.

We will only ever walk a maximum of 3 dogs at any one time so that we remain in control at all times!

Following our meet and greet we will provide further details to you so you can set-up your Country Hounds account, you will receive a monthly invoice which can be paid via BACS or debit card.

We’ve thought of everything your dog will need, but obviously it is easier if you are able to provide your dog’s usual collar, lead and/ or harness which they are used to wearing.

In winter we find it really helpful if you are able to provide an old towel for wiping your dog down at the end of their walk.

No, our dog walking is offered within the vicinity of your home, we will collect your dog and walk them for the allocated time from your home and back again, often walking around fields, woodland and other areas close by.

We will attempt to contact you on the numbers provided by you during our initial consultation. If we cannot get hold of you and believe the problem to be serious enough we will take your dog to the vet – we are not liable for any costs of veterinary care.

We ask that if you are not going to be home on a regular basis that you leave a key out for us. Some of our customers have a secure key box fitted to the outside of the house so they can provide the code to us to get the key out.

We would prefer not to be given a set of keys for us to keep as we would end up having a lot of keys to look after! If there is no other option then we will consider this on an individual basis.

Yes, we don’t have any dogs join us before we meet them and their owners.

When it’s wet it’s inevitable that your dog will end up with muddy paws, legs and tummies. We will give your dog a rub down at the end of the walk to get as much mud off as possible.

We would certainly encourage you to book walks as often as possible so that we get to know your dog and they get to know us, however we can accommodate ad-hoc walks when required.

There is a minimum booking of one day per week, it does not need to be the same day each week and you can add on additional days (subject to availability). We need at least one weeks’ notice for bookings, the earlier you book the higher chance of being able to book specific days. Our customers that have the same days each week have priority over those days.
