A day in the life of a Country Hounds dog:

7.30-9.00

Pick ups

9.00-10.30

The day starts with lots of play as the dogs get reacquainted with their friends and get to know any new faces. This kind of morning greeting certainly burns off lots of energy!

10.30-11.00

For the younger and older members of the group it’s rest time in the cosy dog lounge. The others continue with their play.

11.00-11.30

Time for a quick washdown and dry if needed.

11.30-13.00

After lots of ‘free play’ involving running, sniffing and chasing it’s time for rest and a well-earned nap. Lunch will be served to the puppies and dogs who need it and who’s owners have supplied food.

13.00-14.30

It’s now time for some interactive play with toys and balls. A full 90 minutes of structure, learning and developing great doggy manners!

14.30-15.00

The final wash and brush with plenty of cuddles.

15.00-15.30

Dry off and calm before home time.

3.30-5.00

Drop offs and goodbyes.

VIEW OUR WREXHAM SERVICES & PRICING

We are always adding to our range of services and try to be as accommodating as possible. If you don’t see what you’re looking for then email hello@countryhounds.co.uk as we’ll do our best to help you.

You pay every month once we’ve prepared your invoice. It’s simpler for you to pay by BACS, but we will accept cash too. Remember, when paying by BACS to use your dog’s name and your surname as the reference.

We’ve thought of everything your dog will need during the day, but we’re happy for you to bring in something from home: a coat, a blanket, toys (if they are happy to share!). Items will be placed on their personalised peg in the dog lounge. If you have a puppy that needs a ‘calorie top up’ during the day just let us know and provide us with their preferred food.

In winter we find it really helpful if you are able to provide an old towel.

Yes. As part of our service Carrie will pick your dog up in the morning and drop off later that afternoon. Our dedicated van has been kitted out with individual comfortable crates to make the journey stress free. Carrie is also able to talk to the dogs en route – and keep an eye on them – through the mesh screen which separates the dogs’ space from the driving area. We think the dogs love that too!

All we ask is that your dog is used to travelling in a car and doesn’t get over anxious or travel sick.

The pickup will be between 7.30 and 9.00 in the morning and the drop off will be between 3.30 and 5.00 in the afternoon.

We will attempt to contact you on the numbers provided by you during our initial consultation. If we cannot get hold of you and believe the problem to be serious enough we will take your dog to the vet – we are not liable for any costs of veterinary care.

Please don’t worry if you are unable to be home, Carrie will just need access into your house and some instructions. You can either provide us with a key, but even better you can install a simple keybox which houses a spare key – just let Carrie know the code!

When you join Country Hounds, you’ll have access to our exclusive app so you can book a session with no fuss. As we only take up to 8 dogs a day please give as much notice as you can. You’ll have a better chance of securing your daycare session the earlier you book.

Be mindful that we are not open over the weekend (unless by prior arrangement) so if you would like daycare on a Monday we will need to know the week before – please don’t leave it to the weekend to book.

Yes, but we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. If you cancel within 24 hours of the daycare you will be charged.

We welcome puppies from 16 weeks old and we love to watch them explore everything new, develop and learn.

One of our puppy’s owners said: “My young pup’s behaviour has really improved since meeting the other dogs at Country Hounds, he’s made some great doggy friends there.”

As puppies need feeding more regularly than the older dogs please provide us with their preferred food so they can continue to grow big and strong!

When it’s wet it’s inevitable that your dog will end up with muddy paws, legs and tummies. We don’t want all of our mud going home with your dog, so we’ll give them a quick wash down and dry before bringing them back to you.
